Two speedlights, one YN-460 with snoot for the milk, one Canon 430 EX II, zoomed to 105 mm, shooting through a blue gel for the “blue sky” in the background. There’s a paper reflector on the right side to give a bit of fill and a flag (a black mousepad) between blue flash and cups to stop the blue light from hitting the cups.

No lightbarrier involved this time :-) so this took me the whole box of pralinees to get two decent splashes :-/ The camera is mounted on a tripod, prefocused, and triggered via the cable release in my left hand. The right hand is throwing the chocolates. All flashes were RF-triggered via Yongnuo YN-602.

What else to say? Well, the milk flash should be on almost minimum power, that gives short bursts and sharp images. The backdrop is made of translum foil, not because it has to be transluzent, but because it’s easily rinseable…
