Clamshell Lighting Setup Backdrop Lighting: Two strip boxes with diffusers are positioned on either side and directed toward the backdrop. These are powered by Elinchrom FRX 400 strobes, evenly illuminating the background to ensure separation and eliminate shadows. Key Light (Top Light): A Maxi Beauty Dish with diffuser is mounted overhead and angled downward towards the model's face. This is connected to an Elinchrom Master RX, serving as the main light source and creating a beauty/butterfly lighting pattern with soft shadows under the nose and chin. Fill Light (Bottom Light): Below the subject’s face, a second Elinchrom FRX 400 is placed and directed upward. This acts as a fill light, softening shadows and balancing the contrast created by the key light above.
