Loop Lighting Example: 580EX II camera-left triggered from long E-TTL cord inside Wescott Apollo soft box; Canon 60D with LCD turned to face subject (me) and triggered with remote control; 580EX II camera-right with shoot through umbrella as fill triggered with Canon remote wireless function enabled; 430EX as background light with Honl red gel covering to match clothing triggered with Canon built-in wireless and set as Free Agent 1/64th power; Shot with E-TTL A:B ratio of 8:1 (three stops). Difference here is position of soft box - more of a 45 degree angle to subject.
