I Light

Wanting to go for a very stylized image without a lot of post processing, my aim was to dress the set and light it practically. The simplest answer is usually the right answer. When people ask how I got the 2 backgrounds, the answer is, "I used two backgrounds." Light the white, don't light the black. Light the right side of his face, don't light the left. His store's logo was lit by a snooted head being handheld by an assistant for optimal placement. Super fun shoot and super easy. Other than camera raw adjustments and removing a small mole that cast a long shadow, no real manipulation.
